The headbands are bright and the entire braided band stretches. Its not a braid in the front and elastic band in the back. My head is on the smaller side so I had no issues with the tightness but my friends head is on the bigger side anf she said it was tight on her.My 4 year old daughter has long hair and doesn't like to have it up in ponytails or buns for very long but I can't stand her hair in her face all day. She doesn't mind headbands but she has very fine hair like I do so most headbands just slide off after a few minutes of play. These braided headbands are tight enough to stay in place without hurting her and have anti-slip material on the inside so she can wear them for long periods without having to be constantly readjusted. Just wish they weren't so pricey, almost $12 for a 4 pack is a little steep for headbands but I guess you get what you pay for.Colorful, thick, holds my hair back without issues. I’m very active and they stay on place. I bought kids ones because adult bands aren’t tight enough. I get compliments all the timeA little snug. Brade twisted. Comes off head too much.My 5 year old and 8 year old use these for Soccer. It holds their very fine and straight hair back better than any other clip, headband, or barette we've found.
